Korea : Day 7 & 8 - Jeju Island

Hi..^^

Kami akan berada 2D1N di Jeju Island. Kami ke Jeju naik Easter Jet - domestic flight. Murah sikit kalau nak compare dengan Korean Air. Kat Jeju Airport Uncle Won - tour guide kami akan jemput.



Kami sampai dalam pukul 1030am kat Yeha GH. Check in dulu and tinggalkan luggage kami kat situ sebab bilik tak boleh masuk lagi. Belum waktunya lagi. Uncle Won tunggu kami kat luar, untuk hari ni kami nak cover East Jeju.

Day 7 - Jeju City + Eastern Area

1- Seongeup Folk Village

Admission fee: FREE
Bus - travel time: 50 min.
From Seogwipo Intercity Bus Terminal take the Dongilju bus At platform no. 3
Get off at ‘Pyoseon-ri samuso.'
Go straight and turn left at the intersection.
Walk straight until you get to the bus stop.
Take Beonnyeong-ro bus.
Get off at ‘Seupeup 1-ri.’

Note: A traditional village preserved by government People are still living in this village and they are not allowed to renovate their houses.

2- Seopjikoji

Admission fee: FREE
Seopjikoji is situated at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju-do. "Seopji" is the old name for the area whereas "Koji" literally in Jeju dialect means a sudden bump of land.
You can see a church and a light house with open sea. The church was built for a television drama called "All in".
It has really beautiful landscape around.

3- Seongsan Ilchulbong

Admission fee: 2,000 won
Seongsan Ilchulbong is not just one of the scenic landmarks of Jeju Island but has been listed as one of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage.
Seongsan Ilchulbong also known as "Sunrise Peak" which rose from under the sea by a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. There is a huge preserved bowl-like crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak.

4- Manjanggul Cave

Admission fee: 2,000 won
From Jeju Bus Terminal,
Take the Donghoe Line Intercity Bus to get off at the parking lot near Manjanggul Cave Entrance.
(app. 1hr 20 min.)
At the parking lot, take a bus bound for Manjanggul.
20 minute walking distance from Manjanggul Cave Entrance(The parking lot) to Manjanggul Cave.

Manjanggul Cave is the longest lava tube in the world - UNESCO World Heritage. It is 5 meters wide, between 5 to 10 meters high and is over 13 km long.The lava tube, which formed about 2.5 million years ago, has been well preserved, revealing a splendid interior that is out of this world. Only one kilometer of its total length is open to tourists.

6- Yongduam

No entrance fee
Yongduam is actually a large volcanic rock formation shaped like a dragon's head.
Very popular site for many tourists

7- Dongbong-ri Women Divers' Village

8- Dodubong Sunset

Entrance fee: Free
The small mountain where you can see the ocean and whole Jeju City area. Good place for seeing sunset.

 9- Seogwipo Olle Market

Open: 07:00-21:00
Seogwipo Olle Market is the largest market in Seogwipo. It is a traditional market that was formed in the early 1960s and is a mainstay in the Seogwipo economy. Starting from 2001, the market expanded its shopping center and now stretches over 620m. The interior of the market is designed in such a way that visitors can easily navigate shops and vendors.
Gim (dried seaweed), salted fish, side dishes, seafood, hallabong, tangerines, cheonhehyang, dried seafood, utensils, kimchi, and more.







Day 8 - Seogwipo City (Southern) + Western Area Of Jeju Island

1- Seogwipo Pleasure Boat

Admission fee: 15,000 – 17,000 won
40, Namseongjung-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
Seogwipo Port (an hour and 20 minute ride).

11:00am, 2:00pm, 3:20pm, 4:30pm
Seogwipo Pleasure Boat offers dazzling scenery on the coastal lines and islands around Seogwipo Port in Jeju. Famous for its scenery worldwide, it has been a definite tour course for international dignitaries and tourists visiting Jeju
Seogwipo Port - Supseom Island - Jeongbang Falls - Seopseom Island - Munseom Island - Beomseom Island etc.

 2- Seogwipo - Cheonjeyon waterfall

Admission fee: 2,500 won
Address: 666-7, Cheonji-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do 666-7
From Jeju Airport, take Airport Limousine Bus No. 600 that goes via Jungmun and Seogwipo and get off at Yeomiji Botanical Garden (15 min interval / 50 min ride). Walk 5-10 min to the entrance of Yeomiji Botanical Garden. Purchase tickets there.
Taxi takes 30-40 min from Jeju Airport.
From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, take Seogwipo bound intercity bus and get off at Jungmun Resort (50 min ride). Walk 5-10 min.Taxi takes 30-40 min from the bus terminal.

You can see three waterfalls and a beautiful bridge where you can take a glimpse of Halla Mt. and the beautiful oean.

3- Jusaangjolli Cliff

Admission fee: 2,000 won
Cars: 1,000won
Open 08:00 - 19:00

Take Jungmun Express Bus from Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal to Jungmun Tourist Complex.
(Travel time: 60min)
Take a taxi to Jusangjeolli Cliff.

A unique looking cliff formed by lava. Very poplular destination for tourists.

4- Jungbang waterfall

Admission fee: 2,000 won
Address: 37, Chilsimni-ro214beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
Jeongbang Falls is only water fall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean. On the wall of the water fall, there is an inscription written “Seobulgwacha”, referring to Seobul passing by this place. Seobul was a servant of the Chinese Emperor Jin (BC 259~210) who was ordered by the Emperor to find the substance that would make him immortal. Seogwipo is also said to have gotten its name to mean Seobul headed back west.

From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal,
Take an intercity bus (Jungmungosok) bound for Seogwipo-si (travel time: 2hrs) and get off at Jeju world cup stadium.
Or take an inercity bus(5.16) bound for Seogwipo-si and get off at Dongmun rotary (travel time: 2hrs).
At both bus stop, take taxi for 5 min to Jeongbangpokpo waterfall.

5- Alive museum

Admission fee: 9,000 won
Address: 42 Jungmunggwanggwang-ro, Seogwipo City, Jeju - 064-805-0888
Car/Taxi – 38.8 km from airport, 1 hr
Bus: From the airport, take Bus 600 to Yeomiji Botanical Garden Entrance. From there, walk north, approximately 12 minutes, in the direction of the Jeju Tourism Organization Welcome Center

Adrress: 300, Hallim-ro, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

This museum is alive. You will see all collections of 3D trick arts, digital arts, object arts, sculpture arts and provence arts.
Really nice place for photos. Recently opened.
