Seoul - 8 sceneries of Bukchon (Bukchon Hanok Village)

Bukchon is wedged between Gyeongbok Palace and Changdeok Palace
in the north of Seoul, and its captivating views over the curved tiled roofs of the traditional Korean houses (hanok) and the pretty patterned stone walls lining the narrow streets with modern towers and buildings attract people to come..

There are 8 Photo spots where you can take the best pictures of the most beautiful 8 sceneries of Bukchon..

**Directions
Anguk Station (Line 3), Exit 2.
Go straight for about 300m to arrive at Bukchon Hanok Village

There's a Tourist Information Center where you can get a map of Bukchon

Buckhon's Eight Views : The 8 most characteristic views of Bukchon are called Bukchonpalgyeong.
Look for the suggested viewpoint marked with a metal plate reading 'PHOTO SPOT' planted in the pavement.

1st View: Changdeok Palace View - D4

At the high end of the sloped Bukchon-ro, heading from the Bukchon Traditional Center, a striking panoramic view of Changdeokgung beyong the gracefully patterned stone wall catched the eye of visitors.

2nd View: Wonseo-dong Arts & Crafts Alleyway - B4

A walk along Changdeokgung Doldam-gil, a street following the royal palace's stone wall, leads to dead-end valley where the legacy of the Joseon artisans and craftmen who served the royal family continues to this day.

<Every place you go in Bukchon Hanok Village looks idyllic>

3rd View: Gahoe-dong Museum Lane

Hanok residences in 11 Gahoe-dong open their doors to visitors to reveal their interiors. In some places, experiential programs of tradional Korean culture are offered.

<As you look around the place you can also see Bukak Mountain>

4th View: Gahoe-dong Alley (Old & New) - C2

A sea of tiled roofs in 31 Gahoe-dong is captured in a single view frame. The Western-style residence sitting at the top of the hill is Yi Jungu's House built in 1938, a typicalnhome of the wealthy during the Japanese colonial period.

When you look around the Bukchon Hanok village please don't make a lot of noise because it's a residential area..

5th View: Gahoe-dong Alley (Harmony) - C2

The most authentic cluster of hanok can be found here. Most of these traditional houses are in excellent shape thanks to the city government's renovation incentives.

6th View: Gahoe-dong Alley - B2

The view of downtown Seoul revealed above the elegant hanok rooflines is regarded as the highpoint of a walk through Bukchon.

7th View: 31 Gahoe-dong - B2

This is an unpretentious, serene and infectiously peaceful alleyway. Cathing a glimpse of the residents' day-to-day life is also an interesting experience.

8th View: Samcheong-dong Stair-Rock - B2

The unsophisticated but romantic stone stairway linking Hwagae 1-gil and Samcheongdong-gil is carved out of a huge rock bed.
